Our Ghostly Experiences...

Our personal experiences included the strong sense of being watched. We arrived on the Island early in the morning and lucked out with a warmer, sunny day. Walking over the grounds where dormitories for the families of federal prison employees lived, piles of rubble from the crumbled buildings emanated personal residual endurance. We came into contact for a quick few seconds with the spirit of a man, younger, from an undetermined time period who ran up to us, asked for help and was gone. He was dressed in a white t-shirt, blue pants and had short, straight brown hair combed to the left side.

Around the gardens we came into contact with the apparitions of a small boy and girl, presumably brother and sister. Maybe they were friends that met while their families lived on the island together during the reigning years of Alcatraz.

Before entering the cell block we were drawn to the morgue. This morgue was not that of the prison’s, but it was used when the Island was a military barracks. Use of the morgue also includes an entranceway to one of the tunnels that lead to the many military batteries around the island.
