All investigators named on this website possess at least one of the abilities listed below.
Each investigator utilizes and is well-educated on the technical equipment.
The Five (5) Major Clair-Abilities
1. Clairalience: (clear smelling) The smelling of things that have no physical source.
2. Clairaudience: (clear hearing) The ability to hear voices or messages from the dead; beyond the range of the ordinary power of hearing.
3. Claircognizance: (clear knowing) The ability to obtain knowledge of certain situations, people or places without having any information to facilitate such knowing.
4. Clairsentience: (clear feeling) The “gut feeling”. The sensitivity to energies and emotions of other people or situations that we otherwise could not know.
5. Clairvoyance: (clear seeing) The ability to perceive or “see” spiritual energies or things that are not present to the typical human senses.
Rebecca's clair-abilities are a huge element of her successful investigations. To concur with the results of her clair-abilities, she also utilizes some "typical" ghost hunting equipment and tools. Though she does not have the Ouija board listed as a tool she uses, the communicating technique is similar to the use of dosing rods, pendulums and automatic writing. When using any of these methods of communication with the “other side”, it is important to always be in the right state of concentration, power, faith and intelligence. Without an understanding of the paranormal or how to control paranormal energy when communicating with it, the communication can go awry and many negative situations could occur due to misuse of the tools. Using any form of communication with paranormal energies takes concentration, patience and protection and most importantly, experinces and knowledge.

A. The 8mp Olympus SLR is a very important piece of equipment, in that it includes 25 different modes of taking pictures, flashes, 8 speeds and more! The best feature includes a vibrating lens that will assist us in capturing actual orbs rather than dust particles that may collect on the lens.
B. Dowsing rods were believed to be the divine will of the gods and were once considered to be correlated with the devil himself. How we use dowsing rods is stemmed from research done in Germany to help people locate objects such as metals in the ground. The L-shaped rods we use today in seeking ghosts adjust to the magnetic fields radiating from the target, or paranormal energy. If held properly and are not stimulated by the power of our human mind, the rods will conform into a perfect cross, or “X”. They will also move together, typically in unison, to point in the direction of the paranormal energy. If you follow the rods slowly, once you reach the energy they will cross to form an “X”. Take one step back, and they uncross, pointing directly at the energy.
When communicating with dowsing rods, first establish the existence of an entity in which you would like to begin conversing. When you are in control and believe yourself to remain in positive protection, tell the entity to cross the rods for ‘yes’ and do not move the rods for ‘no’. Continue to ask ‘yes’ and ‘no’ questions. If you are using dowsing rods properly, you will feel the energy “tingle” up through your elbows. Because of the energy you exert while dowsing, and the energy received from the entity, you will feel a warming sensation but do not be alarmed. This is normal sensation when interacting with paranormal energy. The rods will feel as if they are floating in a cloud of energy and 0-gravity. You will see them move in a mysterious range of motion and if done incorrectly, they will “free-fall” into an obvious pattern created by gravity
Begin holding the dowsing rods while standing straight and looking forward. Hold a rod in each hand strong enough so that they do not “free-fall”, but light enough so that when they energy is found it can indicate to you by moving the rods every so slightly, and then forming an “X”. Be sure to keep your hands held straight at your wrists, not allowing the rods to lean toward the ground but point straight away from you. You can either walk slowly holding the rods upright and follow them to where paranormal energy can be found in the room, or you can stand still and call someone to cross the rods for you.
Rebecca was taught how to dowse by a famous psychic (a woman who worked with Chris Woodyard, author of the Haunted Ohio Series), and who was once a member of the Avalon Foundation. Before meeting and working with the founders of the Avalon Foundation, she extensively researched dowsing and actually practiced the source of communication alone in a quiet location. Rebecca wanted to understand dowsing rods, how dowse correctly and that the energies were moving the rods, not gravity or my mind. You will most definitely know the difference if you have an energy moving the rods versus another factor, such as gravity or your mind. Rebecca have also spoken with other investigators around the world who have helped me learn how to properly use the rods.
C. Another form of communication with ghosts, pendulums are also used in the same sense as dowsing rods. The length of the chain should be approximately six (6) inches, and the object in which to use as a dowsing pendulum should be in the shape of a point. The dowsing object should not be a heavy artifact, but one that will not move with the slightest breeze. Some insist that quartz is the most reliable dowsing object in that the stone accumulates the energy of the person who is in contact with the stone, and you will then be able to work with the stone in dowsing. People can form their own method of communicating with paranormal energy or even seeking out paranormal energy with pendulums. You can decipher the direction of the swinging motion, or use a letter board to decipher messages that may come through when the pendulum sways to specific letters on the board.
D. Automatic Writing is a form of communication in which you allow your mind and body to relax, shift into a state of trance, and allow messages to be written while the ghost or spirit has control of your thoughts and the hand which is holding the pen or marker. While in a trance, the ghost or spirit will write out complete words, sentences or draw pictures depicting the message he or she is trying to portray through you. Sometimes you will not write any words or pictures in detail, but you will receive subliminal messages in which I suggest you write down immediately after the AW session or you will forget them. AW can be compared to lucid dreaming with the state of mind you are in and what you forget when you “awake”.
E. Remote Viewing is an extra-sensory perception performed by a person, or "viewer". The person uses his or her intuitive abilities so envision a target place, item or person in a location different from where he or she currently exists. The place, item or person targeted in remote viewing is separated from the viewer by distance, including a matter of feet to across the world.
F. Sage, specifically white sage is an herb used by the Native American Indians as a ritual to cleanse the air, body and soul of negative energy. Rebecca uses white sage purchased from a Native American Indian (Medicine Man) when calming the energies that can be found in my surroundings. After clearing residences of paranormal energies, she burns white sage to help finalize the investigation and to be sure all air, body and souls involved are filled with positive energy and no negative energy has remained. White sage can be burned at any time for the comfort and cleansing of one’s home, surroundings, body, mind and soul.
