Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Photos

The tour guide pointed out a strange method of communication that they believe to be sent from "the other side". Across the floor of a very large rectangular room (see below) is the word LOVE. It's not scratched into the floor, and no one is aware of any bleaching or staining that took place to create the word. Regardless of how it was created or where it was sent from, the word LOVE is definitely visible to everyone upon entering the room.

The photos above and to the left are in the area that TAPS founders Jason and Grant stated they allegedly saw a full-bodied apparition looking at them from where Rebecca stood taking this picture. Jason and Grant would have been on the other end of the hallway with the aqua walls. The door is from the outside looking in, which leads us to believe there is a possibility that someone would have been looking inside the building and was perceived as a ghostly image to Jason and Grant from their vantage point. Hans and Rebecca did not sense, see or experience anything paranormal in this area of the Asylum.

In the next three photos below we were guided down the first floor wing to the left of the main hallway. As we walked we were told of a fire that started in the room we were entering next and caused great damage to that area of the facility. While we were walking I started sensing that we were being followed by the presence of a male spiritual energy. I took the following photos in order as we stopped in the hallway before the "fire room" and as we walked through the room. Note what we believe to be an orb that seemed to follow us into the room and then disappeared. Click each image to view a larger photo of the thumbnails below.

The pictures below are very peculiar. Outside the Asylum after exiting the medical area we felt as if a fourth person had joined our small tour group. After trying to take the first photo where the camera "froze", Rebecca snapped a second photo which we believe captured some magnificent paranormal energy. Immediately snapping a second photo in the exact same position clearly proves that the sun glare or lens flare is not to blame for this particular shot.

The four pictures below are two sets of photos from different areas of the facility. The two photos on the left show what was originally used as a "criminally insane" patient room and then used as an office. Note the hitch still mounted in the wall that was used to shackle dangerous patients to the wall for their own or others' safety. On the right, the two photos are of a bathroom area where a patient killed another patient and to make it look like it was self-inflicted, the killer hanged the victim by bed sheets from these pipes near the corner of the room. The last three photos we believe to exhibit paranormal energy is from the heart of the second floor in the middle of the wing. In the first photo an orb is clearly evident of what we consider to be the ghostly energy of a woman. In the middle photo taken immediately after the first, it looks as if the shutter moved slow or the speed of the camera was off causing the photo to come out partially disturbed toward the right side of the hallway. In the last photo taken immediately after the second there are no anomalies present disrupting the photo. All three pictures were taken with the same camera setting and flash was used with each which deters the possibility of the speed or setting causing the "anomaly".
