World Trade Center
September 11, 2007
Always Remember
The ground was broken on August 5, 1966 to start construction, and in December of 1970 the first occupants moved into what we knew as the World Trade Center, New York City. For over 30 years, the 110-story Twin Towers, including the surrounding financial establishments, stood as a national landmark of our American economy.
When tragedy struck on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, all seven of the buildings that formed our special landmark were devastated. Approximately 3,000 innocent people lost their lives due to such a selfish act of terrorism.
When Hans and I were invited to New York City to participate on the NBC Today Show on October 30, 2007, we toured lower Manhattan and experienced the overwhelming reality of 9/11. (All photos below taken by Hans & Rebecca Muller.)
We experienced immense feelings of sadness and all memories of that day were brought back to the present. We would like to publish this page as a special memorial to all of those involved in the three terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001.
